ballet classes

Aspire's ballet faculty have been taught by world renowned teachers in Vagonova and Balanchine techniques. Erin Crall Scott also has training in Cecchetti and Bournonville. Our dancers will receive quality training from Creative Movement to our Advanced Level 5 and Pointe. 

Creative Movement (3 - 5 yrs): For our youngest dancers, Creative Movement explores the foundational movement patterns of young dancers while encouraging creativity and fun.  Dancers must be toilet trained to register for this class. 

 Mondays: 4:00-4:45 pm / Wednesdays 3:15-4:00 pm / Saturdays 9:00-9:45am .

Pre-Ballet (5 - 6 yrs): For our young dancers ready for a slightly more structured class and the introduction of more ballet terminology and shapes with new balance and coordination challenges. 

  Wednesdays 4-4:45pm / Saturdays 9:45-10:30pm 


Pre-Ballet with Tap (5 - 6 yrs): Splitting class time between ballet (25min.) and tap (25min.), this class is for our young dancers who are ready for a more structured class that introduces more ballet terminology and shapes with new balance and coordination challenges. In tap, students will focus on discovering rhythms and making sounds with their feet. But most importantly, dancers will get the opportunity to make a lot of noise! 

 Mondays 4:10-5:00pm /   Tuesdays 4:10-5:00pm / Saturdays 9:10-10:00pm

 

Ballet 1 (7 - 8 yrs): Learn the fundamentals of ballet. Dancers will be introduced to the barre and explore across the floor patterns and dances to keep their creativity and artistry building along with their strength and flexibility.  

 Tuesdays 6:00-7:00pm / Thursdays 6:15-7:15pm / Saturdays 9:30-10:30am 

 

Ballet 2 (9 - 10 yrs):  This class is for students who have had at least one year of ballet classes. Dancers will explore more challenging turn and jump progressions and continue their technical development. Dancers in this level may choose to take class 2x a week. 

Wednesdays 4:15-5:15pm / Thursdays 4:15-5:15pm / Saturdays 12:00-1:00pm

Ballet 3 (10 - 12 yrs): This class focuses on building strength and technique as our pre-pointe level. A dancer's physical development, strength, and maturity determines their readiness for pointe shoes. Dancers in this level are required to take class at least twice a week. Cross training with a jazz or tap class is highly encouraged. 

 Tuesdays 4:45-6:00pm / Wednesdays 5:15-6:30pm / Saturdays 10:30-11:45am 

 

Ballet 4 (12 - 15 yrs): Dancers in this level continue to explore intermediate to advanced technique and develop their artistic voice. Dancers in this level are required to take technique class at least twice a week in addition to a pointe class (for those dancers en pointe). Cross training with a jazz or tap class is highly encouraged. 

   Mondays 4:45-6:15pm /  Tuesdays 7:00-8:30pm / Thursdays 5:15-6:45pm / Saturdays 10:30am-12:00pm 

Pointe 4 (12 - 15 yrs): For dancers in their first or second year of pointe, this class builds the foundational strength and technique for strong pointe work. 

 Mondays 6:15-7:15pm / Thursdays 6:45-7:45pm 

Ballet 5 (16 - 19 yrs): Our highest level, dancers in this level are required to take technique class at least three times a week in addition to a pointe class (for those dancers en pointe). Cross training with a jazz or tap class is highly encouraged. 

  Mondays 4:45-6:15pm / Tuesdays 7:00-8:30pm /  Thursdays 5:15-6:45pm / Saturdays 10:30am-12:00pm 

Pointe 5 (16 - 19 yrs): For dancers who have been en pointe for at least 2 years, this class moves to more challenging pointe work and explores pointe variations. 

 Mondays 6:15-7:15pm / Thursdays 6:45-7:45pm
